Biography
Lors Khamiev is a native of Chechnya. He was detained after May 9, 2007, in Grozny and sent to Vladikavkaz pre-trial detention centre. Then, possibly, he was transferred to Moscow. According to the initial version of the investigation, together with Umar Batukayev, Ruslan Musayev and unidentified people he created a criminal group to commit terrorist acts in Moscow on May 9. Components of an explosive device were found in the car that Khamiyev was allegedly entitled to drive. He was charged with terrorism and possession of weapons and ammunition, later the charge of preparing to organize an assassination attempt on

Components of an explosive device were found in the car that Khamiyev was allegedly entitled to drive. He was charged with terrorism and possession of weapons and ammunition, later the charge of preparing to organize an assassination attempt on the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was added, though Kadyrov had no plans of being in Moscow on May 9, 2007. On 2 April 2009, Khamiev was sentenced to eight years in a strict regime colony. He was released in May 2015.
