Medzhit Abdurakhmanov

Activist with "Crimean Solidarity". On March 27th, 2019, he was detained following a search and placed in custody the same day due to alleged involvement in the Islamist party "Hizb ut-Tahrir", which is not associated with terrorism. He was sent to a pre-trial detention centre in the Rostov region, and later transferred back to Crimea. In March 2020, it became known that Abdurakhmanov was also charged with preparing to overthrow the constitutional order.

On May 12th, 2022, he was sentenced to 12 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
