Biography
Ilya Gushchin is a member of the National Democratic Party (at the time of detention). On 6 May 2012, he was detained during the dispersal of a rally on Bolotnaya Square, on 8 May he was sentenced to one day of administrative arrest, which he has already served. On 6 February 2013, he was detained in a criminal case, and on 7 February he was charged with participation in the mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square, and with having grabbed and pushed policeman Sergei Antonov from behind. On 18 August 2014, the court sentenced him to two and a half years' imprisonment in a general regime penal colony. He was released on 5 August 2015
