Aibulat Nigamatov
Biography
A resident of the Khaibullinsky district of Bashkortostan. On 11 February 2024, he was detained at work and then taken to Baymak, where the next day he was arrested for seven days under an administrative article on participation in an uncoordinated event that interfered with infrastructure (part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the CAO) in connection with a public gathering in Baymak on 17 January in support of activist Fail Alsynov, who was sentenced to four years in prison. On 14 February, the man was taken to Ufa, where he was taken into custody as part of a criminal case

On 14 February, the man was taken to Ufa, where he was taken into custody as part of a criminal case for participation in mass riots in connection with the same public gathering. On 26 February 2025, Nigamatov was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony. In June, the sentence was reduced by three months on appeal.
