He is a resident of the Republic of Altai. A case was initiated against him for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. In October 2025, the Operativnye Svodki (“Operative Summaries”) Telegram channel published a video of his arrest: initially, several armed people are breaking into a small house and pin a man to the floor, then they order that he stand up and come to the couch, following which they take the man to an administrative building. Afterward, a man with a blurred face says that he posted a video discrediting the Russian army, for which he apologises. He ends the video by asking the following, looking (judging by the orientation of his head) to the camera: “So what, this video is for whom? For the Internet, or what?” Then the end titles show up accompanied by the theme song from the Curb Your Enthusiasm series, which are regularly used on social networks to emphasise the embarassing or uncomfortable nature of the moment. It is not known whether it is really Baidanov who is shown in the video; however, based on the time of its publication and the date when the case was referred to the court, it can be assumed that it is him. The case was referred to the court in December 2025.
