Aleksander Krichevsky

A resident of Izhevsk, before being detained, worked as a system administrator. He was prosecuted for incitement to terrorism because of his comment "That's why we listen to him, because he is not afraid — a ray of freedom in the kingdom of darkness! And we will destroy this darkness only together, when we understand that we have only one enemy — putin and his FSB clique... And you and we need to destroy this enemy in order to live as peaceful neighbours...". Krichevsky left this comment on 11 September 2024 on the Telegram channel of Chechen opposition blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

On 22 January 2026, Krichevsky was sentenced to five and a half years in a general regime colony.

Krichevsky had a group one disability, but he was unable to extend it after being taken into custody. According to Mediazona, Krichevsky had inflammation in his bone marrow, as well as kidney problems. He is confined to a wheelchair.

At the trial, he said that after his detention, his mother, who needed care, was sent to a nursing home. She died four weeks later.
