Biography
On 7 April 2021 the initiation of criminal proceedings became known. Nikolaev is suspected of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. On 30 September he was taken into custody. On 23 December he was sentenced to two and a half years in a general regime colony. On 18 May 2022 the court of appeal returned the case to the court of first instance for the attachment of a number of documents, but on 20 October approved the verdict, additionally obliging Nikolaev to report to the Federal Penitentiary Service inspection within six months after his release.
