Aleksandr Filatov

Resident of Krasnoyarsk. On 11 July 2021, Filatov's flat was searched, he was not at home. On 13 July he was detained in Vladikavkaz and taken to Krasnoyarsk. On July 15, the court sent him to custody on the case of organising activities of an extremist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Members of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities, such as holding meetings and worship services, as well as engaging new followers. On 28 December 2022, Filatov was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
