On this date, activists dyed the water in the "Music of Glory" fountain the color of blood. The resolution to initiate a criminal case states that unidentified individuals came to the fountain and, "cynically disregarding moral standards and rules of conduct in public places, fully aware of the unlawfulness of their actions and intending to set themselves against society, poured an unidentified red liquid from a plastic bottle they had with them into the fountain, thereby defacing and desecrating its appearance. After this, the unidentified individuals fled the scene of the crime." Nizamov was detained but later released under a travel restriction order. He was initially charged with vandalism committed by a group of individuals motivated by political hatred, but the charge was later reclassified as vandalism without aggravating circumstances. Nizamov left Russia and was put on a wanted list.
