Biography
Journalist, founder of the Free Buryatia Foundation. According to the "Empire of Truth" Telegram channel, she was prosecuted under the article on dissemination of deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces with the motive of political hatred (item "д" part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). In February, it was reported that Garmazhapova was put on a wanted list and arrested in absentia. On 10 November 2023, she was sentenced in absentia to seven years' imprisonment.
On 23 October 2025, law enforcers came to search Garmazhapova's relatives in St. Petersburg in a new criminal case. She was accused

In November 2022, the activist was added to the list of "foreign agents". After that, she was fined twice in administrative cases for failure to fulfill the duties of a "foreign agent".
