Biography
Former Russian banker and entrepreneur. In 1996, he was detained in the United States on a case filed in Russia, but was released in 1997. In 1999, Konanykhin was granted political asylum. In 2003, he was stripped of his refugee status. In March 2004, the case in Russia was dropped. However, Konanykhin was later granted refugee status again. After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Konanykhin wrote anti-war posts and announced a reward of one million dollars to whoever would arrest Putin. On February 6, 2024 it became known that he was declared wanted in the case of public justification of
