Alexander Perov

He is a resident of St. Petersburg. He was detained on 31 July 2023 and taken into custody on 2 August on charges of damaging property. The grounds for his arrest was an arson of the porch of a military recruitment centre. Perov told the police that two weeks before the arson, he began communicating on WhatsApp with a man who introduced himself as “FSB officer Kolesnikov”. According to Perov, it was him who suggested the attack on the military recruitment centre, explaining that the building contained documents that were being sent to Ukraine and it was necessary to gain access to them. Later the charge was apparently reclassified to committing a terrorist act. On 11 June 2024, he was hospitalised in a city hospital in the state of clinical death. He died without regaining consciousness.
