Biography

On 5 November 2017, Petrovsky was detained by the Centre E operatives. According to the investigation, the man, being the administrator of the private telegram group 'Revolution – Kaliningrad', allegedly called for the participants of the conversation to take part in protests. Special services also called Petrovsky a supporter of 'Artpodgotovka', a movement recognised as extremist. In his petition, the investigator mentioned the message 'Move out to the barricades' and the words 'Molotov cocktail'. Petrovsky's lawyer Rostislav Kulikov believes that these quotes are taken out of context – it does not follow from them that they refer to real barricades

Special services also called Petrovsky a supporter of 'Artpodgotovka', a movement recognised as extremist. In his petition, the investigator mentioned the message 'Move out to the barricades' and the words 'Molotov cocktail'. The case was considered in a special procedure. The accused fully admitted guilt and repented. On 21 May 2018, he was sentenced to two years in a penal colony. On 17 July 2018, the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation approved the sentence.
