Resident of St. Petersburg. In June 2025, the court sent him to custody on charges of justification of terrorism, preparation for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and participation in an illegal armed formation, as well as lewd acts.
According to the investigation, Popov published three videos on his personal page in an unnamed social network, in which they found justification of terrorism, and also sent a membership form to the group of the Russian Volunteer Corps fighting on the side of the AFU. The charge of lewd acts is related to correspondence with two teenagers under 16 years
