A resident of Moscow and a supporter of the "Citizens of the USSR" movement. He refers to himself as a deputy of the Moscow Soviet and the General Prosecutor of the USSR. On April 23, 2025, Tsopov had a conflict with bailiffs at the Basmanny District Court, where he came to represent his associate, Valentina Reunova. The bailiffs were clearing people from the corridor as it was already six o'clock in the evening, despite the hearing still being in progress. Tsopov and Reunova’s daughter got into a verbal altercation with the bailiffs. One of the bailiffs began to drag Reunova’s daughter onto the stairwell. Tsopov tried to stop the bailiff and grabbed him by the arms. Both lost their balance and fell onto a bench. After that, bailiffs handcuffed Tsopov using force, tightening the cuffs so much that he started bleeding from the nose. An ambulance was called to the court. Paramedics provided first aid, administered a painkiller injection, and took him to the Sklifosovsky Institute. At the police station, Tsopov filed a complaint demanding that a case be initiated against one of the bailiffs, Novikov, for exceeding official authority. However, the next day, after spending the night at the station, he was informed that a case had been initiated against him for using violence against a government official. He was placed under travel restrictions. After the incident, Tsopov reported that he could not move his hands properly due to the overly tight handcuffs.
