Biography
Organiser of the Starcon and Necrocomiccon festivals. Citizen of Kazakhstan, lived in St. Petersburg for the last 20 years.
On 30 October 2025, he was summoned for a conversation with the administration of the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg because of the upcoming Necrocomikkon festival. He was told that holding the event was undesirable. Before that, Orthodox activists from the "Forty Forty" movement began to complain about the festival.
The next day Samsonov was detained by the police to check his documents on the basis of which he was in Russia. On 1 November, the police found him guilty in an administrative

The next day Samsonov was detained by the police to check his documents on the basis of which he was in Russia. On 1 November, the police found him guilty in an administrative case of violating the regime of stay in Russia. He was given a fine of 5 thousand rubles with forced expulsion. Samsonov was placed in a centre for temporary detention of foreigners for three months.
On 2 November, "Fontanka" reported that a criminal case was opened against him for forging an official document. According to the investigation, on 31 October Samsonov showed a police officer a migration card, which indicated that his stay in Russia had been extended until 1 May 2026, but the stamp in it did not correspond to the real samples.
In January 2026, the court cancelled the decision to expel Samsonov from Russia.
