After serving a day on administrative arrest, he was taken into custody. During the hearings devoted to the election or extension of the preventive measure, Vorochek claimed torture, but the court ignored these statements.
On July 27, 2023, he was sentenced to a year and 11 months in a general regime penal colony, soon released due to the long stay in custody. He was also given six months of freedom restriction.
