On Jun 22, 2023, a criminal case was opened against Gorshenina under the article on 'threats or violent actions in connection with the administration of justice or preliminary investigation, committed with the use of violence dangerous to life or health'. The reason was certain threats, which, according to the investigation, she sent in 2023 from a Russian SIM card to the judge of the Moscow Regional Court Elena Morozova and prosecutor Elena Koloskova. On Jun 1. 2024, the girl was detained on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and then a court in Kazakhstan decided to send her to custody. On Aug 8, 2024, the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan refused to extradite Gorshenina to the Russian Federation, and hence the court decided to release her.
