She participated in anti-war protests in February and April 2022. Later, Ageyeva and another detainee were arrested for 15 days under the article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). At the end of July 2022, it became known that Ageyeva had left Russia. She was put on a wanted list and arrested in absentia, but later the appeal court cancelled these decisions. On November 13, 2023, Ageyeva was again arrested in absentia and was also placed on the federal wanted list. Initially, Ageyeva was charged with the 1st part of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code, but later she was charged with spreading deliberately false information about the Armed Forces with the motive of political hatred (point "e" part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). On March 25, 2024, Ageyeva was sentenced in absentia to eight years' imprisonment.
