According to his father, who spoke with "Mediazona," the reason was that Glukhov had met someone online who introduced himself as a Ukrainian citizen and claimed to be collecting signatures "to accelerate negotiations" between the two countries. He sent the student a bank account number in Ukraine, and Glukhov transferred 3,000 rubles (according to his mother, cited by media "Sibir.Realii," it was 1,450 rubles). Glukhov's father added that the case included his son’s correspondence with this individual, in which the student expressed his desire for the war to end and for peace to come soon. On May 29, 2025, Glukhov was sentenced to 12 years in a high-security penal colony.
