Andrei Lukin
Biography
In April 2025, Lukin was searched in Tver, after which he was taken to Moscow and placed in custody on charges of financing extremist activities in connection with his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters. In August 2025, a court in Moscow transferred the case to a court in Dmitrov near Moscow, which on 12 February 2026 sentenced Lukin to four years in a general regime colony.
