Andrei Piontkovsky

Mathematician, political scientist, publicist, member of various opposition associations. In February 2016, he left Russia after the prosecutor general's office found signs of extremism in his article "A Bomb Ready to Explode" on the Ekho Moskvy website. In June 2017, Piontkovsky was added to Rosfinmonitoring's list of extremists and terrorists as an extremist. In August 2023, he was included in the register of "foreign agents".
