Andrei Shkolin

Resident of St. Petersburg, storekeeper. On April 2, 2025, he was detained on charges of public justification of terrorism. The reason was a publication in support of Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who had committed a self-detonation in the Federal Security Service building in Arkhangelsk. Shkolin claimed in court that at the time of publication he did not know who Zhlobitsky was. He also said that on the day of his arrest he was hit on the head with a blunt object. According to him, after his computer was confiscated from him, posts criticizing Putin and the current government appeared on his VKontakte page. Shkolin was taken into custody. At the trial, he said that during his time in pre-trial detention he was repeatedly hospitalized. On September 29, 2025, he was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony.
