Biography
Andrey Chernov was detained in Penza in November 2017, with no one knowing of his whereabouts for two days after his arrest. Chernov was accused of participation in the terrorist community Network and arrested. He was put under pressure - they said that his brother would also be sent to a pre-trial detention centre if Chernov did not sign all the requested documents. He signed a confession after talking to another defendant in the case, Dmitriy Pchelintsev, who, according to his own words, was brutally tortured. Chernov later retracted his confession.
On 10 February 2020, he was sentenced to 14 years

On 10 February 2020, he was sentenced to 14 years in a strict regime colony.
In September 2023, Chernov was sent to a punishment cell, immediately after his parents, with whom he had a long visit, complained about problems with telephone communication in the colony. Chernov spent 38 days in the punishment cell, after which he was transferred to strict detention conditions.
