Andrey Sorokin

A resident of Kansk. On 20 November 2025, his home was searched on charges of organising the activities of an extremist organisation, in connection with his involvement in the Jehovah’s Witnesses community. Members of this community are prosecuted under extremism legislation solely for their religious activities, including meetings, joint worship services and the recruitment of new adherents.

Following the search, he was taken in for questioning, and the next day he was placed under house arrest.
