Anton Podchasov

According to the investigation, in February 2014 in the city of Barnaul Podchasov posted on his page in the social network "VKontakte" "a text containing calls for hostile actions - violence and harm to a group of people of Ukrainian nationality in relation to a group of people of Russian nationality".

Podchasov himself, a candidate for deputy to the State Assembly of the Altai Republic from the party "RPR-Parnas", found out about it at the interrogation on 14 August, where he was announced that the status of a witness in the case was changed for him to the status of a suspect. Podchasov is accused of publishing the text "Russophobia Post", previously also published by Altai oppositionist Andrei Teslenko, who is the first defendant in this criminal case. On 13 July 2015, he was sentenced to a year and a half suspended sentence and for this period was deprived of the right to activities related to the operation of telecommunications networks. On 4 September 2015, the court of appeal instance deprived Podchasov of the status of a member of a precinct election commission for the same term.
