Podchasov is accused of publishing the text "Russophobia Post", previously also published by Altai oppositionist Andrei Teslenko, who is the first defendant in this criminal case. On 13 July 2015, he was sentenced to a year and a half suspended sentence and for this period was deprived of the right to activities related to the operation of telecommunications networks. On 4 September 2015, the court of appeal instance deprived Podchasov of the status of a member of a precinct election commission for the same term.
