Areg Shchepikhin

Top manager, blogger. On 3 June 2025, he was kidnapped by unknown persons in Moscow at the Yaroslavsky railway station in front of a crowd of people. This was preceded by Shchepikhin's publication of numerous videos with aggressive statements against Muslims. On 5 June 2025, he was officially detained in a case of incitement to hatred. A case was opened against the kidnappers, natives of Chechnya, but they were not taken into custody. Later it became known that Shchepikhin was also charged with insulting the feelings of believers and calling for extremist activity. On 13 October 2025, he was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony.
