Artem Bazhov

A resident of Polevsky (Sverdlovsk region). The E1.Ru media outlet, citing a source in the law enforcement agencies, reported that Bazhov at some point converted to Islam, and then "started reading pro-Ukrainian blogs and became obsessed with the ideas of fighting Russia and Russians". After the outbreak of war, he began leaving "propaganda leaflets" around the city. Bazhov was detained on 14 March 2023 before being taken into custody on a terrorism charge for setting fire to transformer boxes on railway tracks. He pleaded guilty.
