Artem Filin

Ukrainian serviceman. In the spring of 2022, he was captured in Mariupol. On 18 March 2024, a court in the occupied part of the Donetsk region of Ukraine sentenced him to 26 or 27 years in a strict regime colony on charges of attempted murder, conducting prohibited methods of warfare and damage to property: according to the investigation, he and other Ukrainian servicemen shelled residential houses and civilian infrastructure on the outskirts of Mariupol. In addition, a case was opened against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist community and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities due to his involvement in the activities of the Azov battalion. On 28 August 2025, on this case Filin was sentenced to 28 years in a strict regime colony, taking into account his previous sentence.
