Artem Vovchenko

Military serviceman, served in the Russian military unit in Gyumri (Armenia). On 19 October 2022, he left the unit. A case was opened against him for unauthorised abandonment of the unit during mobilisation. According to Gulagu.Net, he went into hiding in different countries, in July 2024 he tried to get political asylum in the United States, but was deported. Vovchenko was sent via Cuba to Egypt and from there to Moscow, where he was detained with the use of force and special means.
