Artur Putintsev

On 9 December 2020 he was detained after a search. On 14 December, the court decided to send him to custody on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. On 13 October 2023 he was sentenced to six years in a general regime penal colony. On 9 April 2025 he was released.
