Aslan Vakuev

Resident of Volgograd, imam-hatib of the religious organisation "Mahalla". Detained in July 2020 on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat. Its adherents are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. On 12 September 2022, Vakuyev was sentenced to two years' suspended sentence.
