Atasuntsev Aleksandr

Journalist from Moscow. He worked at RBC until 2022. After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, he left Russia and started co-operating with independent media.

In 2025, a criminal case on illegal receipt and disclosure of tax secrets was brought against him because of his investigation, published in Virstka, on how sanctioned goods get to Russia. The material was based on classified data from Russian customs statistics.

In July, the Investigative Committee asked for Atasuntsev's arrest, but the court stopped proceedings on this request.
