Boris Kagarlitsky

Sociologist, publicist, video blogger. Editor-in-chief of the online publication Rabkor and author of the YouTube channel of the same name. On 25 July 2023 he was detained in Moscow and transported to Syktyvkar, where the next day the court decided to take him into custody for the case of public justification of terrorism. Searches in the process of his case took place in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Penza. On 12 December 2023, Kagarlitsky was sentenced to a fine of 600,000 rubles. On 13 February 2024, the court of appeal replaced the fine with a five-year sentence in a general regime colony.
