In court, the witnesses testified that Buzanov shouted pro-Ukrainian phrases directed against supporters of the DPR and LPR (Buzanov himself denies this). At the end of the sentence and immediately after his release, Buzanov was threatened by employees of the Centre for Countering Extremism. Upon his return home, he was placed under administrative supervision.
In October 2021, unknown persons came to Buzanov's workplace in his absence and asked where he was. Buzanov suspected that they were law enforcers. Later it became known that he was mentioned during the interrogation of another defendant in the case of incitement to violate sanitary and epidemiological rules in Balakovo, Vladimir Nechaev: the investigator asked Nechaev to tell Buzanov to return from Moscow to the Saratov region. Buzanov left Russia and was put on a wanted list.
