Biography

Born in Chechnya. In 2017 he left with his family to France. Requested political asylum. On 11 December 2020, he was deported from France to Russia. After arriving in Moscow, he was detained and charged with facilitating terrorist activity, after which he was taken into custody.

A few days later, Muradov told a lawyer invited by his relatives that he had been tortured, the lawyer saw marks from torture, which was noted in the logbook. However, the investigator refused to conduct a forensic medical examination, the initiation of a criminal case on illegal actions of law enforcers was also refused.

Muradov said that he collected information about the war in Chechnya and the crimes of the Russian military and disseminated it on social network platforms.

In July 2021, the charges were toughened: Muradov was charged with organising a terrorist attack and manufacturing and storing explosives. In November 2021, he was transferred from Moscow to Chechnya. On 6 February 2022, shortly before the scheduled start of the trial, Muradov died. His body was not released to his relatives.
