Denis Chmurov

A resident of Vladivostok. A case was brought against him for calling for activities against the security of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the joint press service of the courts of Primorye states that he published materials "discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain international peace and security, and for the execution by state bodies of the Russian Federation of their powers outside its territory for these purposes," which suggests that a case was brought against him for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It was not possible to find information regarding the existence of an administrative case against Chmurov under the article on discrediting the army, without which it is impossible to initiate a criminal case. The case was transferred to court in November 2024. On 26 February 2025, Chmurov was sentenced to three years and four months on a suspended sentence.
