Denis Drobinin

A resident of the Arkhangelsk region, participated in protests against constructing a landfill at Shies station to store waste from Moscow in the area. Drobinin and three other people were charged with arbitrariness: they were accused of attacking an excavator operator at an environmental camp. Their associates said that Kozlov, the victim in the case, "destroyed the activists' wagon with an excavator bucket, injuring [environmentalist] Vladimir Kogut, and then, swinging the bucket from side to side, crowding people, cleared the way for himself". On 30 June 2020, Drobinin was given a one-year suspended sentence. The cassation court twice returned the case to the appeal court, which then, on 19 October 2021, increased the sentence by six months.
