15 July 2018 detained after a search on charges of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. On 17 July he was placed under house arrest.

On 13 December 2019, sentenced to two years' suspended sentence. On 25 March 2020, the court of appeal instance cancelled the verdict and returned the case for a new consideration. On 9 July, the court of cassation instance, in turn, cancelled the decision and returned the case to the court of appeal. On 16 September, the appeal court confirmed the verdict.
