According to the telegram channel "Beware of the news!", while Zhuravlev was in a special detention centre, a case was brought against him for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation, the reason being tickets to Minsk and anti-war posts on "VKontakte. Later he was also accused of participation in an illegal armed formation. At the trial, Zhuravlev claimed that he planned to send a letter to Zelensky through the Ukrainian embassy. The court considered Zhuravlyov insane and on 15 August 2022 issued a ruling on forced hospitalisation.
