She later claimed that the police officers threatened her with sexualised violence (according to her, the head of the department told her that they would "let her go round in circles"). On 28 May 2020, a case was opened against Tsipinova for using violence against a representative of the authorities, and she was detained. A criminal case was also opened against lawyer Zhilokov under the same article. On 30 May, both lawyers were given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. On 14 August 2020, Tsipinova's measure was cancelled. On 7 July 2023, the court acquitted her. On 12 August 2024, the court of cassation cancelled the verdict and sent the case for a new consideration. On 1 December 2025 Tsipinova was acquitted again.
