From December 2011 to May 2012 participated in protest actions. For the action on 5 December 2011 he received 10 days of arrest, while serving his administrative sentence he met another defendant in the Bolotnaya case - Alexander Margolin. Ishevsky's wife Maria attended court sessions of the "second wave of Bolotniks" to support Margolin. In March 2012, Ishevsky was detained at a rally in Ostankino against lies on NTV.
He was charged with participation in the mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square on 6 May 2012 and with using violence against representatives of the authorities.
One of the arguments for sending Ishevsky to a pre-trial detention centre was that he had been abroad several times since May 2012 and could allegedly abscond there. He allegedly travelled to Malaysia, Norway, India, UAE and Thailand, although Maria Ishevskaia claims that her husband has not been to Norway and UAE.
On the day of the beginning of the trial, 9 October 2014, it became known that Ishevskii fully admitted guilt, so the case will be considered in a special order. On 10 October, the court sentenced Ishevskii to three years and two months of imprisonment in a general regime colony. On 19 November, the court of second instance left the decision unchanged. On 8 June 2016, the court of Yaroslavl refused Ishevskii's request for parole. On 26 July 2017, he was released from prison.
