Biography
Ukrainian politician, one of the founders of the right-wing radical party UNA-UNSO and the "Brotherhood" party. Courts in the Russian Federation recognised both parties as extremist. In 2014, Korchynskii was prosecuted for calls to unleash war and terrorism: according to the investigation, he, in particular, called for waging war on the territory of Crimea and "other regions of the Russian Federation". In November 2015, he was detained in Italy at the request of the Russian Federation to Interpol, but was released the same day. A case of incitement to hatred was filed against him and the battalion commander Oleksiy Seredyuk. In February 2025, the case went to court. On 15 August 2025, Korchynskii was sentenced in absentia to five years.
