On 9 August 2018, a case of incitement to hatred was brought against Chernomorchenko in connection with several publications. On 11 March 2019, the case was dismissed due to the fact that experts were not able to identify signs of incitement to hatred in any of the publications, as well as due to the partial decriminalisation of Article 282 of the Criminal Code. However, the investigation initiated a check of an article written by Chernomorchenko's "Aleppo has fallen: lessons and conclusions" published on 13 December 2016 on the website "Voice of Islam". On 11 March 2019, the case was dismissed due to the fact that experts were not able to identify signs of incitement to hatred in any of the publications, as well as due to the partial decriminalisation of Article 282 of the Criminal Code. However, the investigation initiated a check of an article written by Chernomorchenko's "Aleppo has fallen: lessons and conclusions" published on 13 December 2016 on the website "Voice of Islam". Access to the article was blocked by Roskomnadzor on 21 July 2017, in order to determine if it contained any signs of justifying terrorism. In April 2019, a case was opened under Article 205.2. Chernomorchenko had already left Russia back in 2013.
