Krasichkov planned to run for an additional elections in 2021. In the spring of 2021, he was involved in a car accident and called an appraiser whom he had already contacted when he was involved in an accident in 2016. He claims his phone was tapped and after the phone call, the appraiser was arrested. The law enforcers found out from him about the 2016 accident, after which on 3 June they detained the second participant in the accident, Valery Mochalov, in Moscow, brought him to Lipetsk and demanded that he declare that the accident had been falsified. He refused. On 4 June, Krasichkov's home was searched and he was taken with accusations in extremism, where the officers demanded to confirm that the 2016 traffic accident had been falsified, threatening otherwise to send him to custody. After the interrogation Krasichkov was released, he published an audio recording of a conversation in which someone's voice says to him: "You promised me that you would withdraw your candidacy from the election". On the day he submitted his documents to the election commission, Krasichkov was detained for allegedly failing to pay alimony, after which the court imposed 72 hours of compulsory labour. He failed to register as a candidate. On 20 October 2022, Krasichkov was sentenced to a year of corrective labour for a fraud with the 5-year-old traffic accident insurance. On 27 December, the appellate court affirmed the decision, releasing Krasichkov from execution of the sentence due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
In March 2022, Krasichkov was prosecuted for violating sanitary norms: he was accused of having a coronavirus infection and meeting with city residents to record a video message to Putin against the construction of high-rise buildings in the private sector. In the summer of the same year, the case was dropped: the police found out that Krasichkov had already been cured at the time of the meeting.
