On 30 March 2012, it became known about the criminal case opened in August 2010 against D.L. Lebedev, a resident of the town of Gatchina, Leningrad region, under part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity on the grounds of attitude to religion). Lebedev, a resident of the town of Gatchina, Leningrad region, under part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity on the grounds of attitude to religion). Lebedev was accused of having posted online "records containing statements inciting to actions aimed at humiliating the dignity of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, as well as similar statements to groups of persons on the grounds of attitude to religion". On 20 May 2011, the court found Lebedev guilty and sentenced him to one year of suspended imprisonment with a one-year probation period. The sentence was not appealed and has taken effect
