Biography
Detained on 12 December 2018 at the entrance to Crimea from the Kherson region, when he was travelling by taxi. The next day he was taken into custody on charges of manufacturing and storage of ammunition and explosives.
Edem Bekirov is a disabled person of Group I, he has diabetes mellitus, recently suffered a heart attack and had heart surgery, and had a leg amputated.
On 27 August the court changed Bekirov's measure of restraint from detention to an obligation to appear in court.
