Elena Komaricheva

A resident of St. Petersburg, radio technician. According to RusNews, in the summer of 2023, fraudsters posing as law enforcement officials informed her that certain criminals were trying to appropriate her money and offered to transfer the funds to a "safe account" in order to "assist in apprehending the gang". After Komaricheva transferred about 10 million roubles to the unknown individuals, the fraudsters instructed her to throw Molotov cocktails at a certain building to "punish" the "criminals". This building turned out to be the Vyborg district military recruitment office. On 8 September 2023, she was detained after throwing bottles at the door of the emergency exit. The court chose a measure of restriction against Komaricheva in the form of prohibition of certain actions iwithin the framework of a case of committing a terrorist attack. On 20 June 2024, she was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.
