Emil Shangareev

Shangareev Emil is a resident of Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan). He was detained on October 17, 2017, and formally arrested the following day on charges of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization, due to his alleged involvement with the Islamist party "Hizb ut-Tahrir". On April 26, 2019, he was sentenced to 13 years in a strict-regime penal colony.

While in the colony, he spent several months in a punishment cell.
