Enver Seitosmanov

Enver Seitosmanov was detained on 10 May 2018 during searches in the Orlinoe village, Balaklava District, Sevastopol. He was charged with a criminal case under Article 205.5 Part 2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation). Seitosmanov is accused in connection with his alleged involvement in the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which has nothing to do with terrorism.

On 11 May, Seitosmanov was arrested. During his imprisonment, he has developed health problems.

On 5 December 2019, he was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony.
